01 — 04 · Process

How the learning process works

Every student starts at a different point. The sequence below is the same for everyone; the content of each step is not.

  1. 01

    Diagnostic lesson

Understand the student's current level, goals, exam date and problem areas — before anything is promised.

  2. 02

    Personal roadmap

A focused plan built for one student, rather than the same syllabus repeated for everyone.

  3. 03

    Learn and practise

The concept is explained first. Then carefully selected questions are solved together.

  4. 04

    Analyse and improve

Mistakes and alternative methods are compared, homework is targeted, progress is tracked.

Programmes

Two ways to work together

Programme 01

SAT Maths Preparation

Digital SAT Maths, taught domain by domain — concept first, then exam-style questions, then analysis of what went wrong and which method was faster.

The curriculum map

Select a domain to see the skills covered, where students usually lose marks, and how lessons address it.

Most algebra marks are lost in the translation from sentence to equation — not in the algebra itself.

Example skills

Linear equations in one or two variables

Systems of linear equations

Linear inequalities and regions

Interpreting slope and intercepts in context

Where marks are lost

Setting up the equation from a word problem

Sign errors when rearranging

Reading “per” and rate language incorrectly

In lessons

We practise translation drills: the same word problem is modelled three ways, then solved algebraically and checked graphically in Desmos so the student can see when an answer is impossible.

Inside a lesson

Anatomy of a
90-minute lesson

A lesson has a shape. Knowing it in advance removes the anxiety of not knowing what will happen — for the student and for the parent paying for it.

Editable the time split adapts to the student and the topic. It is a rhythm, not a guarantee.

  1. 10–20 min

    Concept explanation

The idea, why it exists and the two forms it appears in on the exam.

  2. 15–20 min

    Guided examples

Worked together, thinking out loud, with the student choosing the next step.

  3. 15–20 min

    Exam-style questions

Selected for this student, at the difficulty they are currently at.

  4. 15 min

    Independent solving

Aysel stays silent. This is where real gaps become visible.

  5. 10–15 min

    Mistake and method analysis

What went wrong, and whether a second method would have been faster.

  6. 5 min

    Homework and next step

Assigned from what happened today — never from a fixed weekly list.

The first session

Start with clarity, not guesswork.

The diagnostic lesson works in both directions. Aysel sees how the student thinks; the student and parent see how she teaches — before anyone commits to a package.

What actually gets measured

Score screenshots prove very little on their own. These six signals are reviewed with the student, and they are what a mock test is read against.

FAQ

Questions parents ask first

All 14 questions
Who are the SAT Math lessons for?
Students preparing for the Digital SAT who want to understand the mathematics rather than memorize question types — from those starting from the basics to students refining the last band of marks.
How does the diagnostic lesson work?
A 30-minute online session. Aysel reviews the student’s current level, discusses goals and the exam date, works through a few sample problems, and then explains what a realistic plan would look like. There is no obligation to continue.
Are lessons individual or group-based?
Lessons in Türkiye, the United States and the United Kingdom are one-to-one. In Azerbaijan there is also a monthly small-group program; group size is set by Aysel and shown before you book.
How long is each lesson?
Private lessons are 60 minutes. The Azerbaijan small-group program runs 90 minutes, twice a week.
Which SAT Math topics are covered?
All four official Digital SAT Math domains: Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, and Geometry and Trigonometry — plus calculator and Desmos strategy and exam time management.

Begin with the diagnostic lesson. The plan follows from it.
